Cliburn is a rural parish and village in Cumbria's picturesque Eden Valley. The parish's name is thought to be derived from cliff and burn, reflecting the distinctive sandstone escarpments (cliff) bordering the River Leith (burn) which forms much of the southern border of the parish.
